What’s new for the 2019 Volkswagen Golf?

The 2019 Volkswagen Golf is predominantly a carryover model, but there are some notable upgrades. This includes the new 1.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged TSI engine, which replaces the 1.8-liter version in the 2018 Golf. It’s the same engine that is utilized by the all-new 2019 VW Jetta, delivering an impressive output of 147 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque.

The 2019 Golf is a higher value choice with the newly standard and available driver assistance features for the new model-year. The Golf S trim now comes standard with Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Traffic Alert, Forward Collision Warning, and Autonomous Emergency Braking. The Golf SE trim offers the optional Driver Assistance Package, which includes the Lane Keeping System, Adaptive Cruise Control, High Beam Control, 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
